Paso Robles, California

I’ve been following @tedforbes for quite some time as well as his YouTube channel, The Art of Photography. He is a wealth of knowledge and he has introduced me to many great photographers. One of the best, Fan Ho, was someone I wasn’t all that knowledgeable with, even though I was first introduced to him in film school many years ago. So when I watched Ted’s video discussing his work, I immediately recognized several images. These, along with many other fantastic photos, reinvigorated and inspired me to see the world from yet another view.
.
Having recently seen Ted’s video about Fan Ho, his images were fresh on my mind while my wife and I were vacationing in Paso Robles, California. One day, we were driving through wine country and as I scanned my surroundings as I always do, this image of a leafless tree on a distant hill was perfectly framed through a window of branches. Yes! Fan Ho, and Ted Forbes, inspired me to take this shot, and I almost got in a car accident while I abruptly pulled to the side of the road and grabbed my camera.
